The University of Surrey AI Scholarship is a graduate opportunity offered in conjunction with the University of London to international and home students tp study in the UK.
The University of Surrey Scholarship offers a tuition fee coverage, a living stipend of £20,780 per year and an enhanced supplement of £4,000 per year to selected candidates.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the University of Surrey AI Scholarship, you must:
- have a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- demonstrate academic excellence, a passion for research in AI for digital media inclusion, and evidence of effective teamwork.
Benefits
The University of Surrey AI Scholarship funding is provided for full-time candidates for a period of 4 years and covers:
- UK home tuition fees
- Tax-free maintenance payment based on UKRI’s minimum rate: UKRI recently announced a stipend increase for 2025/2026 to be £20,780 per year from 1st October 2025.
- Enhanced supplement of £4,000 per year
- As a doctoral student, you may be able to access additional funding to cover the cost of other related training and development opportunities.

 Stage 3: Recruitment workshopÂ
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a recruitment workshop at the University of Surrey in March 2025 (there will be an online option for those who need to attend remotely).
