Requirements

  • 400-level and 500-level undergraduate law students enrolled in Nigerian universities.

Participants are expected to adhere to the following specifications for their submissions:

  • Length: Essays must not exceed 1,500 words, providing a concise yet thorough exploration of the topic.
  • Format: Submissions should be double-spaced, using 12pt Times New Roman font, ensuring clarity and readability.
  • Citations: References must follow the OSCOLA format, with footnotes and endnotes in 10pt font size, demonstrating rigorous academic discipline.
  • Submission Format: Essays are to be submitted in PDF format, facilitating a uniform review process.
  • Entrant Details: Include your full name, university, level of study, phone number, and email address in the body of your submission email and on the last page of your essay, ensuring we can contact you regarding your submission.
  • Originality: Originality is paramount. Plagiarism will lead to automatic disqualification, underscoring the competition’s commitment to academic integrity.
