Established by Dr. John Haines, a Eugene ophthalmologist with a keen interest in international students, scholarships of up to $5,000 each may be awarded for each academic year to students who want to pursue a degree program at the University of Oregon, USA.
The scholarship program is organized for new and continuing international students at the University of Oregon however, preference will be given to African students.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must be new and continuing African students.
- Applicants must meet the entry and academic requirements of the program they seek to join at the University of Oregon.
- Applicants must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
- TOEFL IBT – 88
- IELTS –7.0
