Applications are now open for the 2026 Daystar Power Group Women in Power Training Program. This one-year program offers hands-on experience, expert mentorship, and the opportunity to grow into a future leader in the solar industry.
The program runs on six pillars:
- Advanced solar engineering training, beyond classroom theory
- Hands-on project experience on live sites and installations
- Industry-ready skills and safety protocols used globally
- Direct mentorship from experienced Daystar engineers
- Leadership training in managing teams and projects
- A professional network of peers and industry experts
Requirements
- Education: a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputable University
- Completion of NYSC
- Experience: 0 – 2 years experience
- Strong interest in solar energy and sustainability.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Note: There is no application fee, WIPT is merit-based, and trainees receive a stipend for the duration of the program. While it’s not a guaranteed job offer, trainees who perform well are typically considered for full-time roles at Daystar Power.
