Now in its second year, SLEF continues to support undergraduate students at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) and the University of Lagos (UNILAG). New and returning students from both universities are encouraged to apply.

Requirements
- Admitted to or enrolled at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU, Ile-Ife) or University of Lagos (UNILAG)
- Nigerian citizenship
- Two references (academic and/or community)
- Personal statement explaining your circumstances and ambitions
Incoming Students (Year 1)
- Students who have received admission to OAU or UNILAG but face financial barriers to accepting their place and beginning studies are eligible to apply before the start of their first session.
Continuing Undergraduates
- Students currently enrolled who, due to financial hardship, are at risk of deferring, suspending, or abandoning their studies before completing their degree may apply during the SLEF annual application cycle.
