These Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships allow successful applicants to benefit from the expertise provided by universities in low and middle income countries around the Commonwealth.
Applications are invited for the Commonwealth Scholarship program which is provided to individuals who wants to obtain a masters degree program in the following institution:
- Cape Peninsula University of Technology
- Durban University of Technology
- North-West University
- Rhodes University
- Stellenbosch University
- Tshwane University of Technology
- University of Cape Town
- University of Johannesburg
- University of KwaZulu-Natal
- University of Pretoria
- University of South Africa
- University of the Western Cape
- University of the Witwatersrand Johannesburg
- University of Venda
- University of Sri Jayewardenepura
- University of Colombo
This scholarship program is fully-funded. They provide full tuition fees, a return economy flight, an arrival allowance, and a regular stipend (living allowance).
To be taken at (country): South Africa and Sri Lanka.
Eligible Countries: Low and Middle Income Countries
Scholarships Eligibility Criteria:ÂÂ
- Applicants must be citizens of a Low and Middle Income Country.
- Applicants must have completed their bachelors degree with at least upper second level.
- Applicants must be proficient in English Language
- Applicants must Have good academic records.

South Africa:
Interested applicants who wants to study at Universities in South Africa should follow these steps:
Complete the application form in as much detail as possible and submit it by email to internationalscholarships@dhet.gov.za
As well as the application form, applicants must submit the following:
- High school certificates
- Undergraduate transcripts and graduation certificate
- At least one academic reference
- Scan of passport or national ID card
- Proof of English language ability if English is not your first language
- University offer letter for the course you have applied for if you already have one
