The California State University Scholarship is a funded Graduate Research Assistantship position for 2 years at $22,500 per year plus a 1-year tuition waiver.

Eligibility Requirements

Ideally, the California State University Scholarship candidate students will have interests in;

  • marine ecology and aquaculture,
  • collaborating with a team of interdisciplinary scientists at CSUN (Drs. Janet K’bler, Steve Dudgeon, Andrew Ainsworth, Scott Applerouth) in marine ecology, molecular biology, and the social sciences,
  • working with diverse groups of people, and
  • good quantitative skills (or desire to develop them).
  • American Association of Underwater Scientists (AAUS) SCUBA diving certification, or willingness to acquire certification, is required.
  • Willingness to develop skills in molecular biology and field ecology is highly desirable.
