The Department of Social Policy and Intervention at Oxford of University is pleased to offer doctoral scholarships for 2018. These scholarships are open for students wishing to pursue doctoral – PhD – studies in an international and interdisciplinary center of excellence in social policy as well as social intervention and evaluation research. The Department of Social Policy and Intervention is a multidisciplinary centre of excellence for research and teaching in social policy and the development and systematic evaluation of social interventions.
Course Level: Scholarships are available to pursue doctoral programme.
Eligible Nationalities: Citizens of all nationalities are eligible to apply.
Eligibility Criteria: The Department usually has three departmental scholarships to offer for admission each academic year
- Barnett Scholarship: The scholarship is open to all students applying for a DPhil (both new students and those already in the department studying for an MSc or MPhil), and is awarded on the basis of academic merit, assessed on both the academic track record and potential.
- Centenary Scholarship: The scholarship is open to all students applying for a DPhil (both new students and those already in the department studying an MSc or MPhil), and is awarded on the basis of academic merit, assessed on both the academic track record and potential.
- Barnett House-Nuffield Joint Scholarship: The scholarship is open to Social Policy students only, who are applying for a DPhil (both new students and those already in the department studying for an MSc or MPhil. If there is, however, a very strong applicant for the MPhil wishing to proceed to the DPhil upon completion of the MPhil, we would be happy to consider them too). It is awarded on the basis of academic merit, assessed on both the academic track record and potential.
English Language Requirements: Students whose first language is not English must demonstrate proficiency in English by submitting satisfactory scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
