Since 2013, the Woolf Institute and the Cambridge Commonwealth, European and International Trust have collaborated in a scheme of scholarships to support outstanding postgraduate students at the University of Cambridge.
Woolf Institute Cambridge PhD Scholarships are now available for international students for the 2018-2019 academic year. Scholarships cover the cost of studying for a PhD at the University of Cambridge and are tenable at any of the 31 Cambridge Colleges.
Course Level:Â Scholarships are available to outstanding postgraduate students to pursue PhD programme.
Available Subject:Â The Woolf Institute and the Cambridge Trust co-fund PhD students who are selected from amongst applicants in the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. Their research must be relevant to the focus of the Woolf Institute â€“ the multi-disciplinary study of relations between Jews, Christians, and Muslims.
ScholarshipAward:TheÂ scholarshipÂ coversÂ theÂ UniversityÂ CompositionÂ feeÂ andÂ anÂ annualÂ stipendÂ (sufficientÂ for aÂ singleÂ person).
The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship:
- TheÂ scholarships are only open to prospectiveÂ PhD students applying to theÂ University ofÂ Cambridge for theÂ 2018-2019Â academic yearÂ â€“Â beginning the end of September/early OctoberÂ 2018.
- ApplicantsÂ ofÂ anyÂ nationalityÂ areÂ eligibleÂ forÂ theÂ WoolfÂ InstituteÂ CambridgeÂ Scholarship.
- ScholarsÂ willÂ select from amongst applicantsÂ in theÂ Arts,Â Humanities andÂ SocialÂ Sciences.
- TheseÂ scholarshipsÂ areÂ veryÂ competitive.Â WeÂ areÂ unableÂ toÂ commentÂ definitivelyÂ onÂ theÂ suitabilityÂ ofÂ potentialÂ applicantsÂ andÂ theirÂ qualifications.Â ItÂ isÂ wiseÂ toÂ contactÂ theÂ relevantÂ Faculty/DepartmentÂ toÂ ascertainÂ theirÂ entryÂ requirements.
