The aim of the position is to provide an opportunity for young researchers.

Scholarship Award:Â The position will cover the following:
- The PhD candidate will be employed for 3 years starting from January 2018. The successful candidate will run for an annual fellowship of $25,000.

Eligibility Criteria:Â
Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- The candidate should hold an M.Sc. degree in environmental microbiology/microbial ecology or a related field. Previous exposure to and experience with basic microbiology and molecular biology techniques is essential. Experience in microbe isolation and identification, standard molecular methods, and fermentation is preferred. Team-orientation and excellent communication skills are expected.
Nationality:Â Canadian and international candidates are eligible for the position.
