Bournemouth University in the UK is offering fully funded studentship program to students from home and foreign countries.
The fully funded Bournemouth University Scholarship includes includes tuition fees, stipend for 36 months, training costs and research costs for the project.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the Bournemouth University Studentship, you must:
- be UK, EU and International students.
- demonstrate outstanding qualities and be motivated to complete a PhD in 4 years
- demonstrate outstanding academic potential as measured normally by either a 1st class honours degree (or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA) or a Master’s degree with distinction or equivalent
- have an IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 minimum (with a minimum 6.0 in each component, or equivalent) for candidates for whom English is not their first language and this must be evidenced at point of application.
In addition:
- Strong candidates are expected to demonstrate strong knowledge and enthusiasm for molecular ecology, as well as a strong aptitude for troubleshooting
- Candidates are expected to have direct experience of DNA extraction, polymerase chain reaction (PCR), and downstream DNA analyses.
- Prior experience in constructing DNA libraries, particularly for environmental DNA (eDNA) applications, is desirable but not essential.
- Strong quantitative skills are also essential, including proficiency in R or Python for data analysis.

The funding includes waive of tuition fees for 36 months, stipend for 36 months, training costs and research costs for the project.
