The Roche Nigeria Internship Program offers a paid and a unique opportunity for passionate individuals to gain hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the Roche Internship Program, you must:
- be enrolled or have completed your Master’s studies at a university, preferably in the field of Public Health, Digital Health, Behavioral Science, Health Communication, International Development, or Social Sciences within the last 12 months
- be interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship of at least 3 months.
Furthermore you are:
- Experienced or strongly interested in UX or UI design, qualitative research, content development, data analysis, and project management
- Familiar with mobile health or digital health approaches and interested in behavior change for public health
- Able to turn complex insights into clear user journeys, structured recommendations, and engaging communication materials
- A structured, collaborative, and culturally sensitive self-starter with strong storytelling and stakeholder communication skills
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Igbo, Hausa, or Yoruba is an advantage

Program Date and Duration
The internship is expected to start between 1 and 16 July 2026 and will last at least 3 months.
Roles and Responsibilities of the Roche Interns
- Support hands-on training for field staff on standardized cervical sample collection and preservation techniques
- Help map and monitor collection and transport workflows to ensure samples arrive within required time and temperature conditions
- Assist in overseeing the laboratory workflow from sample reception through testing and result dispatch while maintaining quality standards
- Support reagent and consumable tracking and help coordinate with service teams to address equipment downtime
- Track the pilot journey from testing through result delivery to support timely clinical intervention
- Contribute to documenting real-world implementation challenges and success stories for future scale-up
- Assist in aligning communication between field clinicians, laboratory scientists, market access colleagues, and health officials
- Analyze how existing HIV laboratory infrastructure can be leveraged to improve operational efficiency and long-term health resilience
