2026 Alex Otti Foundation Scholarship Application is Open.
The Alex Otti Foundation invites applications for the 2025/2026 Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme, with its target undergraduate students who are ancestrally from – or currently residing in – Abia State.
The Foundation stand in the gap between the rising costs of education and the aspirations of brilliant, talented students at the margins of society. Through this structured intervention, we offer financial support to help you achieve your dreams and become a leader of tomorrow.
Benefits
The Alex Otti Foundation Scholarship will cover the costs of the selected applicants’ tuition and living expenses from the period of award till graduation.
Requirements
Who Can Apply?
1. Current Enrollment: The application is open to students who have completed their second-semester 100-level examinations and are progressing to 200-level, as well as those who were admitted in the 2024/2025 session (this is because of irregularities and non-uniformity in school calendars across public tertiary institutions).
2. Academic Performance: Candidates must have achieved a minimum CGPA of 3.5 (on a 5.0 scale) or its equivalent in their first year of study.
3. Direct Entry Students: Candidates who recently secured direct entry admission into 200-level (and will still be in their second year by April 2026) are also eligible.
4. Regular Students: Candidates must be undergraduate students in regular programs in academic tertiary institutions, as the scholarship is not open to students in part-time, sandwich, or any other similar programs.
Application Documents
1. Statement of Result: Signed statement of results for the first academic session, issued by the Department or Faculty Admin Officer (a representative of the Registrar). Direct entry applicants must provide their qualifying examination results.
2. Proof of Residency: Candidates must present any of the following as proof of residence in Abia State: letter of recognition from a community/religious leader or a utility bill covering the three months preceding the interview.
3. Essay Submission (1,200 words): Applicants must write an essay covering the following topics, dedicating 400 words to each:
- a. What, for you, is the greatest innovation of the 21st century?
- b. How did this innovation impact you as a person?
- c. How can countries like Nigeria leverage the innovation for development?

4. Valid Identification:Â A recognized means of identification must be provided
