Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), a German government company is looking for intern to support German global health policy – focus on Global Health Hub Germany. During your internship, you will have, among other things, the following tasks:
- Supporting the GIZ team in implementing project activities, with a focus on GHHG activities.
- Support in the planning, preparation and execution of the GHHG annual conference in July 2026?
- Content management of the digital platform for hub members (collaboration space), including planning and implementation of participation opportunities, such as surveys.
- Writing articles for the website and newsletters
- Support in the preparation, planning and implementation of a series of events on global health for political decision-makers and other events in the political arena
- Support in the preparation, execution and documentation of various internal and external events (including meetings of the GHHG steering committee, webinars)
- Support in managing members, hub communities and their community products (such as policy papers) and in building partnerships
- Managing the hub’s information mailbox and answering member inquiries.
Benefits
The monthly intern salary is €2,349 (gross).
Requirements
- University degree in health, social sciences, political science or economics – preferably with a focus on public/international/global health or international relations
- Prior experience in development cooperation and collaboration with ministries is an advantage.
- Experience in the field of communication/public relations and event management
- Knowledge of network or multi-stakeholder organizations is advantageous.
- Strategic, analytical and interdisciplinary thinking
- Organizational skills and initiative
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in scientific and generally understandable language.
- Very good German and English skills
