The Jeffery Isaiah David Memorial Foundation Education Scholarship (JIDMF) was established to honor the memory of PFC Jeffery Isaiah David.

The Scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors and those already enrolled in higher education institutions to assist with the costs of attending the college, vocational, trade school, or program of their choice. 

Benefits

Scholarships are a one-time award intended to assist with educational expenses, including tuition, fees, books, and supplies.

Requirements

  • Graduating High School Senior (Minimum 3.5 on 4.0 scale required)
  • Enrolling in an accredited two or four-year college, university, or program in the United States. 
  • Pursuing an associate’s, bachelor’s degree, or certification.
  • Trade/Vocational School or Certificate Program enrollee
  • Demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and community service. 

Selection Process

NOTIFICATION OF SCHOLARSHIP AWARD:

  • Check your emails regularly in case additional information is requested. Applicants will be notified via email if selected for an award by May 29th.
  • A scholarship announcement ceremony will take place on June 13th via Zoom.  Recipients will be emailed a link to attend and share with family and friends. 

Application Documents

  • Copy of High School transcripts.
  • College acceptance letter.
  • Two letters of recommendation. (Letters accepted from a high school teacher, counselor, principal, pastor, employer, or community leader.) 
  • Submit a written essay. (400-500 words) or a 3-5 minute video on the prompt listed in the application.)

Please ensure that all required documents are submitted by the deadline. Late applications will not be considered; no exceptions will be made.
