OCI Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship Application is Open
The Onyebuchi Chris Ifediora (OCI) Foundation annually offers indigent Nigerian students financial awards to support their education in registered Nigerian universities.
The OCI Foundation Scholarship winners are awarded annual financial supports throughout the approved duration of their chosen programs in any university of their choice in Nigeria.
The scholarships focus on brilliant, exceptional but financially challenged students, and the application and screening processes are designed to attract, identify and support these class of undergraduates.

Requirements
- Applicants for the Cyfed Undergraduate Scholarship (CUS) must hail from Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria;
- Applicants for the Anambra Cyfed-Bradley Hope Undergraduate Scholarship (CBH-Anambra) must hail from Anambra State, Nigeria;
- Applicants for the National Cyfed-Bradley Hope Undergraduate Scholarship (CBH-National) can be from any part of Nigeria outside Anambra;
- Applicants must be undergraduate students of any accredited Nigerian university, affiliated institutions, or polytechnic (Federal, State or Private);
- Any course offered in any Nigerian university, polytechnic or affiliated institutions confer eligibility;
- First-time applicants must be in the first year of their studies (or hold a valid admission offer from a recognised institution, which must commence in the year the application commences);
- Renewing applicants must have held the Scholarship in the preceding academic year, and would have achieved a GCPA of at least 3.0 to be eligible for renewal;
- First-time applicants must be less than 30 years old as at the time the applications open;
- Applicants must not be related to the Founder or any other Trustee(s) or Officer(s) of the OCI Foundation.
Application Documents
To be considered for the Cyfed Scholarships, eligible applicants must comply with the following:
(A). Firstly, complete and submit an online application.
(B). In addition to (A) above, first-time applicants must also:
- Provide a valid Government-issued identity (ID) document (e.g. an International Travel Passport, a Voter’s Card, a National Identity Card or a Driver’s License). Applicants who are below the age of 18 years and are unable to apply for a government ID can submit a birth certificate.
- Provide an official letter ( original, not photocopied) from your school (Head of Department) stating the following: Your full name, Gender, Matriculation number(Newly matriculated scholars who have not yet received a matriculation number or school ID must provide a provisional admission letter from their institution of study), Course Title and Level, Department of Study.
- A 500-word essay, about “My family”.
- Also, attach the following documents (all certified by a qualified lawyer). Note that the originals must be presented by successful applicants during the interviews:
- JAMB/UME result certificate
- Senior Secondary School Exam Certificate (WASSCE and/or NECO)
- A valid student ID from your host institution
- A recent (within 6 months) passport-sized photograph
- A letter of recognition from the traditional ruler of your town, confirming your town of origin.
(C). In addition to (A) above, renewing applicants must also:
- Provide an official letter from your school (Head of Department) stating the following: Your full name, Gender, Matriculation number, Course Title and Level, Department of Study, and your Cumulative Grade point Average (CGPA) for the years completed.
AND/OR:
- An official statement of your result for the completed year(s).
- If applicable, a letter stating any change(s) in your circumstances (change in department, withdrawal from school, and so on).

Note that no application will be processed until full documentations have been received and verified.
