The United Nations UNDP Internship is currently open to all interested and qualified undergraduates and graduates worldwide.
The UNDP Internships offer attractive paid positions in several areas for the sole purpose of promoting global development in an international work environment.
Requirements:
To be considered for the UNDP Global Internship, you must meet one of the following educational requirements:
- Be currently enrolled in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
- Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent).
- Have already graduated with a university degree (Bachelor’s or higher) and, if selected, must start the internship within one year of graduation.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task;
- Attention to detail is crucial;
- Responsible, responsive, and enthusiastic;
- Interest in global issues and the United Nations;
- Must be able to work in a multi-cultural environment and be aware of political sensitivities.
Duration and Reward
- The expected duration of the internship is 6 months.
- UNDP interns are eligible to receive a monthly stipend, with the rate that varies depending on the duty location. (For Copenhagen, this stipend is equivalent to $1000 per month).
- The stipend will be paid monthly, and part-time internship arrangements are prorated accordingly.Â

Desired Skills
- Strong IT skills and excellent knowledge of office software packages (e.g. Microsoft Office suite: PPT, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Streams, Forms, SharePoint, Power BI, Power Automate, Power APPs).
- Language skills: Fluency in English required. Good working knowledge of French and/or Spanish an asset.
- Knowledge of software design (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Illustrator InDesign) is an asset.
