The Professor Abayomi Oluwatosin Jiboku Foundation Chemistry Research Grant is specifically tailored to support academically promising yet financially disadvantaged final-year students enrolled in the Chemistry and Biochemistry departments of federal and state universities within Nigeria. This grant aims to empower these students to excel in their research work, contributing meaningfully to the advancement of knowledge in the field of chemistry.

Requirements

  • Final year students of Chemistry and Biochemistry in public institutions of higher learning across South-west zone in Nigeria.
  • Applicant must have minimum C.G.P.A of 3.0 and above 
  • Applicants must demonstrate financial need and a strong commitment to advancing their knowledge in chemistry through research

Selection Process

The research proposal must outline the background of the study, statement of the problem, scope, justification, and materials and methods, and should be between 1,500 and 2,000 words. The research should be feasible within the timeframe of the applicant’s upcoming final year.

The proposal must demonstrate financial need and will be considered by the supervisors and the department head.
