The IUJ Scholarship, offered by the International University of Japan to students willing to pursue degree programs at the university is now ongoing.
The International University of Japan Scholarship is a fully funded package, covering the tuition fees, accommodation, admission costs, and an annual stipend of $11,500 to cater for living expenses.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the International University of Japan Scholarship, you must:
- Be new to IUJ, enrolling as an international student
- Be active participants in support of the local community and gain a good understanding of the Japanese society
- Develop leadership skills and then contribute to the international society in a leadership role upon graduation.
- Priority for this scholarship is given to those with excellent academic performances and in financial need.
Benefits
The scholarships are different based on the eligibility of the applicants and the availability of the award. Available awards include;
1. Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Scholarship
- Specifically designed for African students
- Covers full tuition and admission fees
- Monthly stipend of approximately ¥150,000
2. Asian Development Bank – Japan Scholarship Program (ADB-JSP)
- Full tuition coverage
- Monthly stipend
- Airfare support
- Accommodation and living allowances
3. Nakayama Scholarship Series
- Merit-based scholarships covering 30% to 100% tuition
- Premium category includes stipend support
4. MEXT (Japanese Government Scholarship)
- Fully funded government scholarship
- Covers tuition, living allowance, and airfare

- Start an Online Application.
- In Phase 2 of the Online Application, you will find a Scholarship application to fill in.
- Complete and submit the Scholarship application.
- The Admissions Committee considers scholarship awards along with the Admissions decisions.
