The SWIS EmpowHer Fellowship is an initiative of Shaping African Women in STEM (SWIS Africa) designed to empower female final-year students pursuing degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or related fields across Nigerian universities.
The fellowship equips participants with the knowledge, mentorship, and network needed to transition confidently into impactful careers in academia, industry, or entrepreneurship.

Requirements
- Opened to the Female gender
- Enrolled at any University in Nigeria
- Studying a STEM or related discipline
- Possess good academic standing
- Entering final year by 2026
- Demonstrated strong and visible interest in leadership, innovation, or community impact
- Commitment to actively participate in ALL fellowship activities
- A reference letter from a referee (Faculty Dean, Head of department, Professor or reputable senior academic staff within the University)
