Qatar University has open applications for international students from all over the world to pursue Masters and Doctoral programs in Qatar.
The Qatar University Graduate Scholarships offer fully-funded awards that include tuition waiver, living stipends, travel and flight costs, accommodation, and the cost of research.
Master’s Applicants
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher received with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.8.
- Students must satisfy additional college/program specific admission requirements.
PhD Applicants
- A Master’s degree or higher received with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
- Standardized test scores (e.g. GRE, GMAT) are required for all PhD programs offered in English.
- Applicants who have completed a professional master with a GPA of 3.0 or higher must satisfy additional college/program specific admission requirements.
Duration and Reward
- Exemption from tuition fees
- Exemption from textbook fees
- Monthly living salary
- Student housing (two students per room) including transportation to/from campus.
- Annual round trip air fare ticket
- Residence permit under QU sponsorship
- The scholarship should be utilized starting from the semester in which the scholarship was awarded. If the student does not pass his/her first semester, the scholarship will be terminated and the student will be informed by QU email.

- Passport Photo Page
- English proficiency certificate – TOEFL or IELTS (optional).
- Standardized test scores (for PhD applicants).
