Applications for the 2025 annual Jim Ovia Foundation Scholarship have been begun for interested Nigerian undergraduates.
Jim Ovia Scholarship is fully funded by Mr. Jim Ovia, the CEO of Zenith Bank, covering the full tuition fees of selected candidates and providing them with a maintenance stipend of ₦150,000 per year until the completion of their programs.
Requirements:
To be eligible for the Jim Ovia Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of Nigeria
- Be currently or potentially enrolled in an accredited tertiary institution in Nigeria.
- Have demonstrated academic excellence and leadership prowess
- Be passionate about contributing to the society
- Scholarships are awarded on the basis of personal intellectual ability, leadership capability and a desire to contribute to society at large to improve the lives of others.
Duration and Reward
Successful awardees of the 2025 Jim Ovia Foundation Scholarship will receive full support throughout the period of their undergraduate study covering;
- Tuition fees
- Accommodation
- Living stipends worth ₦150,000.00
- Over time it is expected that the Jim Ovia Scholarship beneficiaries will become leaders in helping to address challenges related to health, technology, and finance, all areas in which the foundation is deeply engaged.
Required Documents
You will be submitting the following while applying for the Jim Ovia Foundation Scholarship 2025;
- Completed application form (Personal Details)
- Recognized Government I.D
- Passport Photograph
- Your Official JAMB Certificate
- Your School’s Admission Letter
- Your official acceptance letter from the University
- Copy of your UTME Result
- Current Academic Calendar of your Institution (Stamped/Signed)
- Signed & Stamped Student Copy of your CGPA Result (Medical students MUST provide a SIGNED & STAMPED copy of their most recent examination result, showing the courses, grades and the grades translated into CGPA)
- Original Copy of your HOD’s Recommendation Letter (This letter MUST state your Current Academic Level, Current Academic Session, Current Academic Semester and Current CGPA…MUST not be older Than 4 Months)
- Your School I.D card
- Original Secondary School O’Level Certificate (WAEC, GCE or NECO)
Method of Application
- Create an account or use an existing one to login.
- Fill out the application form and attach all required documents.
- There are no fees required to submit a Jim Ovia Foundation Scholarship application fee
- Your application will not be reviewed until all required documents are submitted.
- Applicants may track their status online by logging into their online MUSTE account.
- Applicants should also watch for any email messages from the Jim Ovia Foundation regarding their application and its processing.
- Applicants who submit False or Forged documents will be blacklisted and unable to apply for future awards.
- Shortlisted applicants will be notified by email. Applicants should be alerted to these messages. Be sure to add both enquiry@jimoviafoundation.org.ng and contact@jimoviafoundation.org.ng to your safe sender’s list.
- Ensure all details are correct and all documents ready before submitting your form. Kindly note that you will not be able to edit any submitted form.
- Submitting a wrong document automatically disqualifies the applicant.
- Providing any forged document or false information will lead to the applicant being blacklisted from applying in the future.
