Applications for the Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) in the United States are now open.
The Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) is one of the most globally diverse, accessible pre-college programs in the world, welcoming students from around the world to reside on Yale’s campus while attending two-week sessions.
Participants are entitled to need-based tuition scholarships that cover housing, meals, curriculum materials, and air chilled rooms.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) 2026, you must:
- Be 16–18 years old by the program start date.
- Be enrolled in high school or equivalent at the time of application.
- Have a strong academic background and genuine interest in the offered academic tracks.

Benefits
- YYGS offers Need-Based Financial Aid (covering up to the full cost of tuition) for all domestic and international students.
- The tuition scholarship covers all on-campus components of the program (housing, meals, curriculum materials, air chilled rooms, etc.)
- $3 million+ USD in financial aid and scholarships each year.
- Fee waivers for students facing financial barriers, reducing the application fee to $0.
Eligible Academic Tracks
Students admitted to YYGS 2026 will reside at Yale’s Benjamin Franklin and Pauli Murray Colleges and choose from three exciting two-week academic tracks:
- Innovations in Science & Technology
- Politics of Law & Economics
- Solving Global Challenges
Each track includes Yale faculty lectures, small-group seminars with a 12:1 student-to-teacher ratio, and collaborative projects with peers from across the world.
