The Student Energy Career Training Program offers a hands-on experience and the opportunity to work with an industry partner on a real-world project.

The 2025 Student Energy Career Training Program builds leadership and employability skills through energy education, project management training, individualized career coaching, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the 2025 Student Energy Career Training Program, you must:

  • Be African
  • Be a young woman between 18 and 30 years in Africa.
  • Be interested in working in the sustainable energy sector.

Additional Requirements

  • English Language Fluency: Are you fluent in English and comfortable communicating with global peers, SECT coaches, and industry partners in English?
  • Education: Have you completed or are you currently enrolled in a post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree program of any discipline?
  • Reliable Internet Access: Do you have reliable internet access to participate in virtual sessions, complete online coursework, and collaborate with peers?
  • Nationality and Location: Do you have an African nationality and are currently living in an African country?

Program Duration

The program will take place from July 2025 to February 2026 with a commitment of average 10 hours per week for 30 weeks (approximately 300 hours in total).

    • Your curriculum vitae (CV) in PDF, limited to 2 pages long.
