Applications for the 2025 Universitas Islam GREAT Scholarship have now commenced.
The fully funded Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia Scholarship covers the tuition of selected candidates, visa and flight costs, health insurance, settlement, and living cost allowances of 3,500,000 per month.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the 2025 Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia Scholarship, applicants must not be:
- Older than 35 years old for the Master’s program and 40 years old for the Doctoral
program. - Currently pursuing another degree.
- Receiving a scholarship for a degree from another institution
- Recipient of the scholarship may not concurrently hold any other fellowship, grant, bursary, award, scholarship, or allowance without prior approval from the University.
- Unable to meet Indonesian government requirements for international student entry to Indonesia (visa, health, etc.).
Benefits
The Universitas Islam GREAT Scholarship covers;
- Full tuition fee waiver (for up to 4 semesters).
- Student visa application, VITAS, and stay permit costs (covered only once).
- Return ticket allowance for economy class (up to IDR 10,000,000, split into IDR 5,000,000 for departure and return).
- Settlement cost allowance (IDR 1,500,000, one-time payment).
- Health insurance allowance (up to IDR 400,000 per month).
- Living allowance (IDR 3,500,000 per month, including accommodation).
Required Documents
To apply fro the Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia Scholarship, candidates must be ready to submit the following documents;
- Undergraduate or Master’s certificate
- Undergraduate or Master’s academic transcript
- Statement of purpose
- Full curriculum vitae (in tabular form)
- English language proficiency certificate
- Arabic language proficiency certificate (for applicants to the Faculty of Islamic Studies only)
- Two references (recommendation) letters
- Brief research proposal (for doctoral student)
- Academic writing sample (for doctoral student)

Method of Application
- Apply for admission through the Universitas Indonesia admission portal: https://admission.ui.ac.id/.
- Pay the admission registration fee (USD 100) and upload the proof of payment.
- Merge the NEW UI GREAT Letter of Statement and Recommendation Letter from the Indonesian Embassy into one PDF document (max. 3MB).
- Submit all required documents through the admission website.
