Nestle Nigeria Plc is proud to announce the launch of the second phase of its community scholarship scheme, aimed at supporting the youth of its host communities.
This initiative is designed to provide educational opportunities for deserving students, enabling them to pursue their educational and personal goals through financial sponsorship.
Currently, the program benefits approximately 109 students hailing from the communities around Owode-Egba, Sagamu, Abaji, and Agbara, where Nestle’s factories are located.
Launched in 2020, this scholarship program initially covered the host communities of the company’s factories situated at Sagamu Interchange, Ogun State, and Abaji, the Federal Capital Territory.
Now, it has been extended to include the host community of the company’s third factory in Agbara, Ogun State.
The Nestle Nigeria Community Scholarship Scheme is structured into two categories: senior secondary and tertiary. Under these categories, students will receive financial support covering tuition, accommodation, uniforms, books, and other educational expenses throughout their academic journey.
This scholarship initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4, which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all by 2030.
The Nestle Nigeria Community Scholarship Scheme is dedicated to bridging this educational gap, providing financial assistance to help young individuals successfully complete their science and technology studies, both in secondary and tertiary education.
Nestle Nigeria is committed to nurturing the talents and aspirations of the youth in its host communities, thereby contributing to their educational development and the overall progress of society.
