Striding into its fourth year, the Sigma Awards celebrates the best data journalism from around the world. It’s also here to empower, elevate and enlighten the global community of data journalists. Striding into its fourth year, it’s also here to empower, elevate and enlighten the global community of data journalists.
The international data journalism community is facing many challenges, and we want to support them. This year’s Sigma Awards will be about highlighting the very best data journalism done about the pandemic (and building an international database record of such projects), the Russia-Ukraine war, but also those covering other topics such as politics, sports, or the environment.
Sigma wants to bring together a community, and support those working with data, whether it’s on COVID-19 or international conflicts — because that’s one of the priorities for our community at the moment — or on any other subject.
