The Dalhousie University, Canada is offering the Killam Scholarships on a competitive basis to outstanding students in thesis-based programs (Master’s or Doctoral level) in any discipline in the sciences, engineering, humanities, and social sciences. Candidates are selected from the Harmonized Scholarship Process based on departmental support and the results of the university-level review process.

Eligibility:

  • Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate their capacity to pursue a graduate-level program in English before admission. The language competency test may be waived if the applicant has completed a degree at a recognized university where the language of instruction is English in a country where English is one of the national languages.
  • Applicants must be eligible to receive scholarship support for at least two years. This means that at the Master’s level only newly entering students will be considered. At a Doctoral level, only students who have spent less than 24 months in program by May 1stof the award year will be considered.
