A bequest to the School, by Lieutenant-Colonel Henry Kirkpatrickâ€™s daughters Elsie and Daphne Kirkpatrick, endowed funding to set up scholarships â€˜for the promotion and encouragement of study in the ophthalmic sectionâ€™ in memory of their father.

Eligibility Criteria:Â This scholarship is open to all overseas, full-time applicants who hold an offer of admission from the Registry for theÂ MSc Public Health for Eye CareÂ course.

Value and Duration of Award:Â This full-time 1-year studentship will cover
â€“ full tuition fees for MSc Public Health for Eye Care at the overseas fee rate, and
â€“ a maintenance stipend of GBP 16,950.00 paid out as a monthly allowance, and
â€“ GBP 1,500.00 towards MSc project costs, and
â€“ GBP 1,100.00 to be used towards the Alumni Workshop maintenance costs.
Method of Application:Â
Step 1: Submit an 2019-20 application for study for theÂ MSc Public Health for Eye Care, as per instructions under the â€˜How to Applyâ€™ tab. Applicants should ensure that all necessary supplementary documents (including references) are submitted via the Schoolâ€™s Admissions Portal by the scholarship deadline.
Evidence that you meet the Schoolâ€™sÂ English Language requirementsÂ must be uploaded to your MSc programme application before the scholarship application deadline.
Step 2: Submit anÂ online scholarships application, selecting the â€˜2019-20 Lt-Col Henry Kirkpatrick Scholarshipâ€™ option from the drop-down menu. A completedÂ Supplementary Questions Form for this scholarshipÂ must be uploaded as part of this application. This is the only attachment required in Step 2 (as applicants should have already submitted references; transcripts; a CV etc with their application for study).
