The Technical University of Denmark, often simply referred to as DTU, is a university in Kongens Lyngby, just north of Copenhagen, Denmark.

The Technical University of Denmark is inviting application for PhD position. The PhD project will be carried out in close collaboration with the TopOpt group.

The project is financed in large part by InnoTop: a six-year research program aimed at providing new algorithms for large-scale shape and topology optimization.

Course Level: Scholarship is available for pursuing PhD programme.

Available Subject: Scholarship is awarded in the field of Mesh Generation from Optimized Shapes.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have an M.Sc. degree in computational science and engineering (CSE), applied mathematics, or engineering, or equivalent academic qualifications. Preference will be given to candidates who can document experience in at least one and preferably more of the following topics: polygonal and polyhedral mesh generation and processing; finite element methods; numerical optimization tools; shape and/or topology optimization. Furthermore, good command of the English language is essential.
