The Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre is offering scholarships for foreign students. Scholarships are available to students at BA and MA level for the academic year 2017-2018.
Course Level:Â Scholarships are available for students at BA and MA levels.
Study Subject:Â Scholarships are awarded in the field of Music and Theatre.
Scholarship Award:Â Scholarships will cover the following:
- EAMT scholarships for non-EU students at BA and MA levels covering 50% of the tuition fee
- DoRa Plus programme scholarships for all foreign students at MA level awarded for one academic year (350€ per month paid from September to June)
Scholarship can be taken in Estonia
Eligibility Criteria:
Eligibility Requirements for the EAMT scholarships:
BA and MA students, who are non-EU citizens
- Students who were admitted for the academic year 2017-2018: entrance examination result at least 9 at BA level or at least 4 at MA level
- Students who were admitted earlier: the last examination result in the main study at least “very goodâ€
Eligibility Requirements for the DoRa Plus scholarships:
- MA 1st year students, who:
- Are not Estonian citizens
- Who do not reside in the Republic of Estonia on the basis of long-term residence permit
- During the last three years, have not resided in Estonia for a total period exceeding one year
- Are full-time students
- Had the entrance examination result at least 4
MA 2nd year students, who:
- Are not Estonian citizens
- Who do not reside in the Republic of Estonia on the basis of long-term residence permit
- During the last three years, have not resided in Estonia for a total period exceeding one year
- Are full-time students
- Have completed the 1st year coursework in programme subjects worth at least 54 ECTS credits and with examination result in the main study at least “very goodâ€, in case of cultural management with the average grade at least 3,2
Nationality:Â Foreign students are eligible to apply.
Audition Requirements
- Performers: live performance of at least 2 pieces with total duration of 15 min (the judging panel has the right to interrupt the performance at its own discretion)
- Other majors: artistic portfolio, including the list of artistic activities within last 2 years, scores, recordings etc.
- Cultural management: written summary and development plan of the master’s thesis, max 2 pages (font: Times New Roman 12; space: 1.5)
Method of Application:
Applications of performers + portfolios of the students of other majors and cultural management should be sent to the coordinator of the DoRa programme Kai Kiiv (kai-at-ema.edu.ee) by October 6, 2017.
