The University of British Columbia is offering scholarships for international students to pursue undergraduate programme.
English is the primary language of instruction at UBC. All prospective students are required to demonstrate a minimum level of English before they’re admitted.
Course Level:Â Scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate programme.
Study Subject:Â Scholarships are awarded to study the subjects offered by the university.

Eligibility Criteria:
International Major Entrance Scholarship:Â To be considered for the IMES, you must
- Be new to UBC, entering directly from secondary school or post-secondary (university or college)
- Be an international student who will be studying at UBC on a Canadian study permit (student visa). (Changes to your citizenship status will affect your IMES eligibility.)
- Demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and intellectual promise, as well as impressive extracurricular and community involvement
- Apply to UBC by January 15
Outstanding International Student Award:Â To be considered for an OIS Award, you must
- Be new to UBC, entering directly from secondary school or post-secondary (university or college)
- Be an international student studying at UBC on a Canadian study permit (student visa). (Changes to your citizenship status will affect your scholarship eligibility.)
- Demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and strong extracurricular involvement
- Apply to UBC by January 15
International Leader of Tomorrow Award:Â To be considered for an International Leader of Tomorrow Award, you must
- Be applying for your first undergraduate degree
- Be admissible to the first-choice degree you are applying to, including meeting UBC’s English Language Admission Standard
- Have an excellent academic record (at least an “A†average or equivalent standard)
- He an international student – neither a Canadian citizen nor a permanent resident of Canada – and be studying in Canada on a Canadian study permit (student visa)
- Demonstrate a level of financial need that would otherwise prevent you from pursuing a UBC degree
- Be entering a UBC undergraduate degree program from a recognized secondary school, college, or other university
Donald A. Wehrung International Student Award:Â To be considered for the Donald A. Wehrung International Student Award, you must:
- Be an international student – neither a Canadian citizen nor a permanent resident of Canada – and be studying in Canada on a Canadian study permit (student visa)
- Come from a war-torn, or politically unstable region of the world, and/or from an economically disadvantaged region of the world
- Have achieved academic excellence under difficult circumstances, with no financial means from family or other sources to pursue post-secondary education (neither in your own country because it is unavailable or unattainable, nor outside your country because it is unaffordable)
- Be graduating or have recently graduated from a recognized senior secondary school
- Be applying for your first undergraduate degree
- Be able to demonstrate superior academic achievement (at least an “A†average or equivalent standard) and leadership potential
Nationality:Â Students from around the world are eligible to apply.

Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have previous degree.
Test Requirement: No
