Established in 1893, Writtle University College has been producing leaders in the land-based industries and organizations for more than 120 years. Writtle is one of the oldest specialist institutions in the UK and offers a range of land-based, design and sports courses at various levels of academic study including Postgraduate, Undergraduate, Further Education, Short Courses, and Apprenticeships. We also provide students with the options of being able to study certain courses on a part-time basis.

The Writtle University College is pleased to offer Elinor Roper Scholarship for the academic year 2017-2018. Home/international students are eligible to apply for this scholarship program.

Course Level: Scholarship is available to pursue Master degree programme.

Study Subject: Scholarship is awarded in the field of Crop Production or Post Harvest Technology.

Scholarship Award: In 2017/18 Writtle University College will award one student a £1,000 tuition fee reduction in their Taught Master’s program in Crop Production or Post Harvest Technology. This can either be on a full-time or part-time basis.

Number of Scholarships: There are a limited number of bursaries and scholarships available.

Eligibility Criteria:

The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship:

To be considered for a Writtle University College Elinor Roper Scholarship award, students must be Home students and must apply by completing the ERS application form. This application must include a written statement of between 500 – 800 words detailing the value the applicant expects to gain from study on the Master’s programme and the way in which they anticipate using the experience after graduation to further their chosen career. If you have a “conditional offer” the scholarship will only be awarded if the conditions are met. Any applicant who defers entry will have to submit a new application for the academic year their studies will commence. Current Writtle University College students are not eligible to apply. The value of the scholarship will be deducted from the tuition fee invoice. It will be a condition of the scholarship that the successful applicant agrees to provide a student profile detailing their experience on the program to be used in publications for the purpose of marketing Writtle University College and/or inclusion in the “University College Alumni Association” publication.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirements: Applicants must have their previous degree.

English Language Requirements: All candidates must meet the Writtle University College’s English Language requirements.
